I have never had a white car but have found a good deal and it is white! Do you like yours? Does it get super dirty?

I don't have pros or cons for white cars, I just HATE white cars.

I don't wear white either, so maybe that's why.

I've had several color cars and white is my favorite. I try different things but keep going back to white. I think they look classy.

I have a white car. I didn't *want* a white car, but I bought used and it had everything else I wanted. Anyway, yes it does get dirty looking. But I believe that white looks less dirty than black and darker colors do. With white, the car just starts to look a little gray. With black, it looks dirty.

Bottom line, for me though, I don't really buy based on color. Unless it was something that truly made me nauseous, color doesn't matter .

I usually have black cars, but this time I bought a white one. It is SO much better! It doesn't seem to get as hot, it doesn't show dirt nearly as much as black, and I just think it looks better.

I didn't want a white car either, but I got a deal I couldn't refuse. I hate it, it is always dirty, I feel like I'm washing it all the time. I do agree, though, it does seem a lot cooler in the summer time.

I have to disagree...I had a white Jeep Cherokee for 8 years and it rarely looked very dirty! It was a plain white, not that pretty pearlized paint they have now though.

I like a pearl white car, but not toothpaste-like flat white.

Oddly enough, white cars tend to look less dirty than a dark colored car (which show absolutely everything).

We have a pearl white car and a dark blue car - the dark blue car needs to be washed FAR more frequently than the white one to stay looking good. That said, I really prefer the look of a dark car to white.

Though I will say that the white car stays much cooler in the summer than the dark car.

We haven't bought anything but white in a long time. First, it doesn't look dirty like dark cars do. It shows dirt less than any other color. Also, with a DH in the body shop business, he likes white because you don't have the color issues like fading and wear like some of the colors. I never want a dark color car again. I hate dealing with washing a car all the time for it to look decent. Also, I don't care of some people think white looks cheap. A car to me is something to get me from point A to B. I only care that I have something reliable, doesn't cost me an arm and leg, and isn't a lot of trouble to keep it looking decent. Cars are not a status symbol for me. I know they are a lot more important to others.

I heard on the news that white is the most popular car colour, so lots of people must love them. I like the look of the pearlized white cars, not keen on the flat white colors, just too many of them around. Like everything it is personal choice. I think that pretty much any colour of car will show dirt if you don't wash it once in awhile. Sometimes a good deal is much more important than colour choice.

I have to agree - when it's clean, a dark car really does look better. SO has a black one and mine is a pearly white. When his is clean, it looks beautiful. However, his is an Audi and mine is a Subaru, so that may have something to do with it too

We just told the salesman in the dealership earlier this week that we would take any color but white. I personally like silver the best.

Our driveway looks like a white used car lot. I like white vehicles. And yes they get dirty but so do all colors. It actually shows more on a black or dark blue vehicle than the white.
I also like that I can get a lighter interior with the white vehicles. I hate black or dark seats.
When I look for my next vehicle it will be white or cream. Something light.

I had a white car once and it looked less dirty in same amount of time as my navy blue car did. I don't normally choose white as my first choice but if the car has everything I want, I'd get it. Classy looking.

We are in the process of buying a white SUV this weekend, going from black. Black was very hot during the summer, and I am hoping the white will be much cooler.

LOVE white vehicles! I was torn between white and the champagne color I ordered for my new car this year and in the model I chose I preferred the champagne, but LOVE white! We have several white vehicles now and they stay clean looking MUCH longer than other colors!

You would think that since my husband is a police officer, and his squads are always white, that we wouldn't want a POV that was white too. We have a white Jeep Commander. I love it! It's definitely a lot easier to keep clean then a black vehicle. We had a white GT Mustang too. It was ok. Not my favorite color for a sports car. We ended up getting a silver Cobra Mustang.

I guess for me it depends on the vehicle.

We have two white cars and one dark red car. The red car is our weekend car and it still needs to be washed more often than our daily used white cars. My husband is a stickler for a clean car so he wouldn't drive a dirty car.

We went from having two black cars to two white cars. Well, one's flat white and the other's pearl white. But they're both white. I honestly don't feel strongly about them one way or the other. They definitely show less dirt than black (except for the back ends, where stuff gets sprayed up from the road). They stay cooler. But other than that, as I said, I don't really care.

For what it's worth, my favorite car color was the metallic sand color of my first Audi. That showed NO dirt. It was awesome!

2 white cars here--love them. The non-metalic white color wears so well, and we keep our cars for years. So, white for us. I think white is classic.

There are no pros to having a white car... only cons. White is the ugliest possible colour for a car.

Do you save enough money with this deal to get it painted a good colour?

I don't like white cars at all. I think they are the "most popular" because that is often the color of fleet vehicles. I think they look like they are the cheap models. I also think that in rain storms whte and light silver cars are the most difficult to see and are involved in the most accidents.

White wasn't the color I wanted either, but like this poster the car was a fabulous deal that I couldn't walk away from. It does get dirty, all cars get dirty at some point regardless of color. White does show the dirt, it doesn't really bother me anymore. If you live in an area where it gets very hot like I do, it helps to not radiate as much heat as other colors. If the car is a really good deal I would say go for it!

I had two white cars.
I wish my current vehicle was white too.

My white cars would be cool to the touch even on the hottest summer day

Inside they were way cooler too.

This us very important living in so cal

I didn't find that my car
got dirty any quicker than my silver SUV.

In fact, they look a lot cleaner than dark cars because dust shows so much more on the dark ones.

I will be getting a white car next time I purchase

I was against black and white. I ended up with a white van. I love it! Now it helped that it was fully loaded. I think it looks pretty classy.

I have a cousin who insists on only getting white vehicles. I am not a huge fan, and when we were looking for cars we chose to not go with white or black (we ended up with red.)

I prefer white to that metallic tan color (champagne, I think) that was popular for awhile.

I have silver, but so does everyone else it seems. I can never find it in a parking lot.

I have the same problem, everyone seems to have silver right now.. My beautiful Pilot looks like everything else on the road.

Regarding white... I personally don't like a white car. DH works on cars and he told me once white is painted most often cause it is the cheapest paint. (No mixing to make a color)... that's why most government vehicles and such are usually white...

I love a pearlized white though.. something with a kick.

White is at the top of my list for " must haves" in a vehicle. I've driven a white car for many years. They don't show dirt like other colors and I think white looks sharp.

White was not my first choice, but that's what I have now. It was the car available that had everything on it we wanted. I love the car and am very happy with it. But, it does seem like every other car on the road is white or silver. (My dh has a silver car.) Actually, I don't think the white shows the dirt as much as my previous blue car.

My husband loves white cars. He will go for white everytime.

We've had 3 white vehicles.

On the other hand, I love charcoal gray. I regret giving in to dh's desire for white on our most recent car purchase. While I like it & think the car is cute, I really wish that I had pushed for charcoal gray. *sigh*

After many white cards, dh caved and bought one that wasn't white--and it gets DIRTY. He drives a LOT and I can't count the number of times he's said "I wish I'd gotten another white car! " Especially if it's been parked at the airport for a while.

I'll stick with my white 4Runner! My only complaint...when I'm looking for my car in a parking lot, there sure seem to be a lot of white ones out there!

ETA: we also live in N. CA and it gets HOT here in the summer--white would be my first choice.
